Key Features

• Ability to unlock your gun.

• Able to switch back to Sword Core melee and vice versa at will.

• Can block and deploy arc wave while the gun is unlocked.

• Special melee animation for switching back to the sword for meleeing can be sped up.

• Can bug out the sword core entirely.

• When blocking/arc-waving, you get the slowwall bug.

Gun Mode / Leadwall Unlock

It is very situational considering the stupidly high DPS that the sword core melees offer; basically, you're trading in high DPS for a longer-reaching weapon that can't be melee pinned.

Seems most useful when fighting Scorch from a distance to avoid flame shield and floor thermite damage or just to fight titans safely in general while doomed to avoid getting executed.

Due to how many buttons there are to press, moreover Quickswap being able to be used, and never forgetting to press “1” when blocking/arc-waving, this glitch becomes a skill challenging to master.

• It's like learning Quickswap all over again, but instead of crouch it's the "1" key, also you can combine the two for extra keybind brain remapping.

Switching Back to Melee

Switching back to Melee during Gun Mode plays a special long animation after pressing once the melee key. You'll automatically melee after the animation finishes, with a delay in between, hence why it's a lot more ideal to skip a large portion of the animation via Quickswap sword-block/arc-wave.

• Notice the long animation + delay before being able to melee after switching to the sword.

• Press "1" key after blocking / arc waving to return to Gun Mode.

The Cost and the Risk: Slowwall and Stripped Core Bug

Slowwall is the name for the bug that causes unlocked Leadwall to have a very significant delay when Shotblocking or arc waving, basically nerfing your ability to Shotblock too fast, or your gun won't fire at all. It'll always be active during Dash Core. Notice how I was able to Shotblock all 4 shots before I even got to fire the third Slowwall shot, despite the last 2 shots being spam fired because it was already behind.

Stripped Core is basically the bug that causes your sword and Leadwall to fully unequip, stripping you out of any abilities/weapons except for phase. The bug happens when you forget to press 1 after blocking/arc-waving during Shift Core. It can be fixed only after the core ends by pressing “1” once.

• Pay Attention when Shotblocking during Gun Mode.

• Due to how much risk there is in getting Core Stripped, it's generally a good idea to try to switch to Gun Mode later instead of immediately after Coring.
