🔻Vortex Shield Pierce

Different ways to get around the vortex.

There are several ways to get through the vortex shield. But be wary, Vortex has 2 Hitboxes, one for hitscan and one for projectiles. The projectile hitbox is a lot bigger than the hitscan one; you can't pierce the vortex shield directly with projectiles, unlike with hitscan.

Here's a list of all the ways to do so:

• Melee

• Thermite droplet from T-203 Launcher.

• Explosive damage

• Splash damage from a long-range Powershot.

• Electric smoke

• Angled arc wave aimed at an exposed foot.

• Aiming for the feet directly with hitscan.

The strange Vortex hitbox allows for hitscan weapons to pierce the vortex when aimed at the feet. Includes laser core too. Piercing the feet with Chaingun XO-16 is a lot harder because of its big spread; Legion's long-range mode, laser shot, and energy siphon are perfect for this job.

Ion can counter this completely by either looking slightly down or crouching.

You can use the feet hitting feature to your advantage, you could try aiming for specific parts of the foot with an energy siphon or laser shot to go for a double hit
