Nothing really, it's more of a support titan than a 1v1 titan

Overview

Scorch stands out for its impressive utilization of fire-based weaponry suited both for offensive and defensive strategies. Built on the robust Ogre chassis, this heavy Titan comes armed with the T-203 Thermite Launcher, providing a solid primary weapon designed to deal substantial damage through thermite rounds. Scorch's abilities are tailored to control the battlefield by forcing enemies out of cover and dealing continuous damage.

Scorch's loadout includes:

  • T-203 Thermite Launcher: Fires slow lobbing mortar shells, that explode into thermite on impact

  • Flame Shield: A defensive mechanism, which protects from and burns incoming threats.

  • Flame Canister: Canisters that create hazardous areas that can trap or flush out opponents.

  • Firewall: Ordnance Ability that projects a devastating wave of fire, further emphasizing area denial.

  • Flame Core: Generates an enormous wave of lethal fire, capable of overwhelming clustered foes

While it can hold its own against Titans such as Legion, Tone, Ion, and Ronin, it faces challenges against more agile and specialized adversaries like Northstar and Monarch.

Overall, Scorch is designed for players who prefer direct and destructive tactics, making it a formidable presence on the battlefield with its fire-centric arsenal and strategic crowd control abilities.

Lethal, single shot thermite projectiles that set ablaze anything within range. — Description

General Information
Weapon Specifications

File Name: Meteor

Fire Mode: Single-shot

Weapon Class: Primary Weapon

Shell Capacity: 1

Weapon Type: Thermite Mortar

Reload Time:

Manufacturer: Vinson Dynamics

Hit Registration: Projectile, Explosive

Special Feature: Explode into Droplets, Ignite Canisters

Vortex Absorbable: Yes

Overview

The T-203 Thermite launcher functions like a single shot long-range mortar. It fires at slow velocity one strong gravity obeying projectile that explodes on impact, releasing thermite droplets. The projectile doesn't have a lifetime, meaning it'll never disappear after flying for too long. Allowing you to high into the sky, allowing for long range very slow meteor shower.

The droplets consist of 4 normal droplets and 1 unique droplet. The droplets extinguish overtime, keep that in mind when shooting the wall above an enemy. The most interesting part is, no matter how many droplets are on the titan, the damage will not stack, meaning the titan will not take more damage if there's more than 1 droplet on him at once. That's excluding droplets from an additional Scorch.

  • explodes on impact and releases 5 thermite droplets total

  • thermite droplets extinguish in 2-2.5 sec

  • thermite droplet damage doesn't stack

  • droplets can pierce shields, but don't stick to titans, nor terrain except for the unique droplet

  • the unique droplet is the 5th droplet, it will stick to terrain, looks slightly different and will always last a full 2.5 secs before extinguishing

  • T-203 Thermite launcher nor the thermite droplets can crit titans

Wildfire Kit

On top of dealing more damage, the Wildfire kit allows the T-203 Launcher to scatter the area with more thermite droplets

  • wildfire kit makes the projectile deals 25% more titan damage (800→1000)

  • spawns 8 droplets total and in a 4x bigger spread around impact

Flame Shield

Flame Shield
Quote

Liquifies incoming artillery while dealing damage to nearby enemies. — Description

General Information
Ability Specifications

File Name: Heat Shield

Ability Mode: Charge

Weapon Class: Defensive

Max Duration (Inferno): 4 (6) sec

Weapon Type: Incendiary Shield

Cooldown (Inferno): 8 (12) sec

Function: Destroy Bullets/Projectiles/Entities, Burn Titans

Special: Ignites Canisters

Overview

The flame shield destroys projectiles and can damage other entities. Though compared to the vortex shield, the flame shield has smaller radius, leaving his feet more exposed than Ion's to shots, and hitbox for catching projectiles is a lot smaller in comparison. Making it possible to hit scorch's feet even with projectiles, which normally isn't possible against vortex.

The flame shield can damage enemies through shields, but unlike melee, can't pierce through a sword block directly. Can also melt pilots trying to rodeo Scorch. Shooting the shield does not affect its uptime, unless it's with arc rounds or certain cores. Once an atlas or ogre titan gets in range of a flame shield, then it'll have to angle melee the Scorch to free themselves. Since scorch dashes 1 sec faster than an atlas titan, and is the same speed as an ogre titan, making inferno shield very potent on narrow/indoor maps.

  • damages entities and melts projectiles instantly

  • none visibly smaller radius than the vortex shield

  • none visibly smaller hitbox for projectiles than the vortex shield

  • unlike melee, it can damage multiple titans at once and can't be melee pinned

  • unlike with gun shield, you can't shoot through it up close

  • unlike with vortex, shield, activating flame shield consumes 5% fuel regardless whether with or without an inferno shield kit, so shield flickering as Scorch is ill-advised

Incendiary Trap

Incendiary Trap
Quote

Deploys flammable gas canisters, which can be triggered by the slightest spark. — Description

General Information
Ability Specifications

File Name: Slow Trap

Ability Mode: Deploy

Weapon Class: Tactical

Max Duration: 5.2 sec

Weapon Type: Flammable Smoke Barrel

Cooldown: x

Function: Block off Enemy Path, Flush out Pilots, Ignite other Canisters when Lit

Damage Stackable: Yes

Overview

Canisters full of highly flammable gas, that upon ignition ignite, covering a decent area full of thermite for several seconds. They can be ignited by anything thermite/fire related, even by your teammates or enemies. Having 2 at hand, can allow strategic and creative placements of traps to restrict enemy movement in your favor.

For example, bouncing a trap off a wall to land behind a particle wall to force the Tone to move away. Or placed behind an enemy titan to cut the enemy's escape route or to punish them if they do go through it.

For some reason, the canister deals damage every 0.2 sec instead of 0.1 sec unlike other thermite sources, literally halving its DPS and total damage.

  • short throw range with big gravity drop, range can be extended via dashing

  • once ignited, the enemy can't get rid of them via despawning

  • will bounce off titans and shields, though flame shield will destroy it mid-flight

  • allows for good area control with strategic placement

  • It can be used like a cluster missile to cut an enemy's escape route

  • damages every 0.2 tick instead of 0.1 tick

  • canister explodes after expiring, dealing extra 400 explosive damage which ignores template plating

Firewall

The name says it all: fires a directed wall of thermite in the enemies' direction. — Description

General Information
Ability Specifications

File Name: Flame Wall

Ability Mode: Deploy

Weapon Class: Ordnance

Max Duration: 5.2 sec

Weapon Type: Incendiary Wall

Cooldown: x

Function: Block off Enemy Path, Ignite Canisters

Affected by Gravity: Yes

Overview

Firewall, a straight line of fire that instantly falls down ledges and can be stopped by shields and walls. It functions very similar to an arc wave, with the inability to destroy particle wall and gun shield. It leaves along its path a trail of thermite that deals double the damage of an incendiary trap. Making it forceful for dealing damage to enemy titans in narrow corridors, assuming they don't use e-smoke to extinguish it or a shield to block it.

Once it's blocked for its duration, it won't move forwards like an arc wave, its travel duration is a lot shorter than it's actual lifetime duration. The firewall's lifetime starts ticking the moment it starts moving, meaning, enemies at the end of the trail will suffer the least damage total compared to those near the source of spread.

  • double the damage of an incendiary trap

  • The front can be extinguished by e-smoke, and blocked by shields

  • segments of the firewall trail can be cleared via e-smoke for safe passage

  • the 5.2 sec life timer starts ticking the moment the firewall starts moving

General Information
Core Specifications

File Name: Flame Wave

Core Type: Burst

Weapon Class: Titan Core Ability

Max Duration: x

Weapon Type: Incendiary Wall

Addition: Pierces, Affected by Gravity

Overview

Flame Core, literally fires 3 fast high damage wide arc waves in a spread in front of himself. The 3 flame core segments, will deal 4,500 damage to any enemy in their path. The core can actually be blocked by flame shield and vortex shield. Although, it's a difficult thing to do.

Looking up or down affects the flame core's spread, the core has the widest spread by looking forwards. Looking up or down will start decreasing the spread tightens at the center segment, so far, that you'll launch all 3 segments of the flame core overlapping each other, making it look like 1/3rd of the flame core.

  • fires 3 high damage arc-wave-like spread apart segments at high velocity in front of himself

  • Flame core can, in fact, be blocked by vortex or flame shield and even outright despawned

  • just like arc wave, it also teleports down the ledges and instantly destroys gun shield and particle wall
